BMH HeartCenter Earns 5-Star Rating for Third Year in a Row Feb. 2, 2004 - (BUTLER, PA) – The HeartCenter at Butler Memorial Hospital has once again received a 5-star rating for coronary bypass surgery from HealthGrades, the leading provider of health care quality information. HealthGrades, recently released it’s sixth annual report card in which BMH received ranking as one of the top programs in the region for the third year in a row. "Our exceptional ratings from HealthGrades once again reflect the high standard of care that we provide in our HeartCenter at BMH," said Joseph A. Stewart, President and CEO of Butler Health System. "We have an excellent team and their reputation for care stands on its own." Each year, HealthGrades independently analyzes more than 5,000 hospitals nationwide, objectively grading their performance and quality. Under the leadership of the Surgery Department Chairman Dr. George Davliakos of Three Rivers Cardiac Institute, the HeartCenter has performed than 1680 surgeries and now has two full-time surgeons. |
