BHS Foundation's Fifth Golf Outing a SuccessJuly 22, 2004 - The Butler Health System Foundation held it’s fifth golf outing on June 21. Proceeds of $73,000 will be used to support the Diabetes & Nutrition Management Center at Butler Memorial Hospital.Presenting sponsors Citizens National Bank and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5 and Western Pennsylvania Chapter, NECA. LMCC hosted 140 golfers for the outing, which was held at the Butler Country Club. The success of the outing is largely attributable to the support of local businesses. Additional sponsors who played a significant role included Mine Safety Appliances, Sylvan, SEI Investments, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Penn Telecom, and UPMC Health Plan. Golf Committee member Brian Linnon of Alpin Surgical in Butler says, “The Butler Health System Foundation golf outing is a good example of like minded people working together to bring quality health care to the Butler community and having fun doing it.” The 2004 first place winners were the foursome from Cohen & Grigsby.
